Plant a mini meadow.
Help nature thrive in Barnet.

This autumn, residents across Barnet are invited to create mini wildflower meadows for pollinators and biodiversity in garden patches, pots placed on balconies or driveways, and other outdoor spaces.

We’d love you to be part of the Mini Meadow Movement — sign up today and receive free wildflower seeds, plus ongoing guidance and support.

Every mini meadow counts — together, we're creating something bigger than any one garden, balcony or allotment could achieve alone.

We invite schools and community groups to sow a mini meadow, and/or to host "meadow in a pot" sessions for students.

What participants say

I joined quite late, yet received assistance and thoughtful advice. I found the guidance very helpful as a new gardener.

I've enjoyed waiting to see what sprouts up and then flowers in my mini-meadow.

Let's plant 600 mini-meadows across Barnet in 60 days!

We are dividing Barnet into eight local teams to help neighbours support one another. Each team will have its own target, and together we aim to plant 600 mini meadows in 60 days (September–October). You’re welcome to choose any team, though we recommend selecting the area where you plan to plant your mini meadow. Please note this initiative is for mini meadows planted within the London Borough of Barnet.
